For the ships built on «Severnaya Verf» the longitudinal framing system was applied for the first time in the world.

The designers of «Severnaya Verf» developed the first local ship steam turbine.

The torpedo-boat destroyer built on «Severnaya Verf» came as the carrier of the first anti-ship cruise missile.

Missile cruisers of «Severnaya Verf» became the first native surface vessels capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

The ships built on «Severnaya Verf» were equipped with the first in the world ship gas turbines and heliports first in naval history.

The construction of the first Russian war vessel with the elements of «stealth» technology is under way on «Severnaya Verf».

Rewards

Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR:

• awarded Order of Lenin to plant No. 190 named for Zhdanov A.A. of Lenin-grad National Economy Soviet according to Navy Decree of April 28, 1963 for great services in the development and manufacturing of new types of military rocketry, and also surface ships, equipped with this armament, and in ship re-equipment;

• awarded Order of the October Revolution to Leningrad shipyard named for Zhdanov A.A. according to Decree of January 18, 1971 for successful imple-mentation of Five-Year-Plan and organization of new equipment production;

• awarded Order of Lenin to Leningrad shipyard named for Zhdanov A.A. ac-cording to Decree of July 16, 1986 for great services in development, testing and assimilation of serial building of special equipment.
