On May, 30 th, 2005, the signing of the Acceptance Act of repair and modernizations of a representation vessel of the President of the Russian Federation – the steam-ship «Russia» took place at the shipbuilding plant «Severnaya Verf».
V.I.Matvienko, Governor of St.-Petersburg , S.V.Pugachev, Member of Federations Council of the Russian Federation, V.I.Kozhin, Head of Department of the Affairs of the Russian Federation’s President , I.I.Klebanov, Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in Northwest Federal district, A.V.Gnusarev, Director General of Joint-Stock Company «United Industrial Corporation» have taken part in solemn ceremony.
THE INFORMATION:
Passenger-excursion motor-ship «Russia» of the Project 1877 has been constructed JSC Shipbuilding plant «Severnaya Verf» according to the technical design, developed by the Central Designing Bureau «Vympel» and it is an individual vessel.
The vessel is intended for service of excursions and delegations in area of the Moscow Channel with an entrance into other internal waterways of the European part of the Russian Federation and in coastal areas of Baltic Sea.
The vessel has been commissioned to the Moscow River Shipping Company in 1973.

Width – 10,5 m
Displacement–1150 ò
Speed – 29 km/hours
Modernization and accompanying repair of the steam-ship have provided complex updating of the structure of navigation and communication means, giving to the vessel best maneuverable characteristics and conformity to all modern international VIP-standards.
As a result of works fulfillment, caused by the Contract, the operation life of the steam-ship is prolonged for another 15 years.
