On June 27th, the sixth All-Russian scientific-practical conference MORINTEHPRACTIC («Information Technologies in Shipbuilding – 2005» took place on the shipbuilding plant «Severnaya Verf».
Having divided into two sections (Corporate Information System CIS and ÑÀD/ÑÀÌ), participants of the conference have got acquainted with reports on actual problems of use of information technologies in shipbuilding and other industries. Among lecturers there were also representatives of foreign firms.
A.S.Buzakov, Director General of «Severnaya Verf» has addressed with a greeting to participants. He has said in particular:
«For years of the work, scientific-practical conference has got the status of the international specialized Forum, on which opportunities of application of modern information technologies in shipbuilding are being discussed and shown.
Producing one of the most high technology and technologically sated kinds of production, shipbuilding yards, in the paradoxical case, collide with the most inconsistent prospect at introduction new IT decisions. But those enterprises, which impudence, competence, organizational and financial resources suffices for development of the given direction, as a rule, provide leading positions to themselves in all segments of the world shipbuilding market.
There has come time of formation and use of uniform approaches, methods and normative-help information in the automated information systems at designing, construction and exploitation of the ships and vessels during their all life cycle.
It is assured, that the majority of these issues will find the reflection in section’s thematic reports of scientific-practical conference, and I hope for the further expansion of interaction of all participants of shipbuilding business – from the designer up to the customer, on the basis of application of the modern automated information systems and means of telecommunication».
