The Society of Veterans of «Severnaya verf» held the meeting dedicated to the report about carried out work and to the elections. The Council Chairman Mr. Bessonov came out with the report. He reminded that in 2007 the voluntary Society of War and Labor Veterans will celebrate its 50-year anniversary. The main aim of the Society is the protection of pensioner’ rights and interest.

Other speakers thanked the yard’s authorities, the Professional Union Committee, who helps veterans get extra money and arrange meetings with actors and bus excursions.

The veterans themselves often visit their seriously ill colleagues, congratulate them on different occasions, and provide them with extra money and presents.

Mr. Bondarev, the Personnel Director, also took part in the meeting. He spoke about the current life of the yard.
