The seventh All-Russian scientific and practical conference «Morinteh-practic» (The Informational technology in shipbuilding-2006) was held at «Severnaya verf» on 15th June.

The chief TYPEer of the plant «Severnaya verf», U.N.Taratonov, emphasized, greeting the conferees, that «Severnaya verf» is the leading enterprise of Russia using the informational technology. The enterprise was presented with the report «Practical application of the three-dimensional modeling results in the process of ships and vessels construction» at the plenary session of «The computer-aided design systems» section.

30 reports were announced at the conference. The problem of the economic planning organization and financing of shipbuilding orders was examined among the most topical subjects. According to the specialists of the CRI shipbuilding technology, it is impossible to work without cardinal changing in the attitude to the methods of calculation of the expenditures and the cost price in the condition of more and more increasing competitive struggle in the world and Russian shipbuilding.

Moreover, the project of the international educational portal «The virtual ship» was also presented.
